So you've clicked your way to a blog called Guns 'n' Guts. Trust me, you can find them both here, as I write both hard-hitting action fiction and hardcore horror stories.

"Guns 'n' guts" is my nickname for the action-adventure genre. Series like The Executioner, Phoenix Force, Able Team, Killsquad ... they were all part of the "guns 'n' guts" genre. Hard men with serious firepower blowing away the bad guys, often with vivid descriptions of the splattered blood and bone and brains that accompany the destruction of the human anatomy.

This blog aims to explore the "guns 'n' guts" genre, whether it be novels, movies, or TV. One day I might post a flashback on some long-forgotten series of '80s action-adventure books, the next I might comment on the gratuitious sexuality of Cinemax's "Strike Back," and then I might write a review of the latest Stephen Hunter thriller. If it's action-related, it's fair game for discussion and dissection.

And yeah, as an action (and horror) author myself, I have a certain obligation to talk about my own books every now and then too.
